²⁰ Amon did what the Lord said was wrong. He did as his father Manasseh had done. ²¹ Amon lived in the same way his father had lived. He worshiped the idols his father had worshiped. And he bowed down before them. ²² Amon rejected the Lord, the God of his ancestors. He did not follow the ways of the Lord.
